Disneyland, 50th Anniversary
Art Notes
When the Disneyland 50th Anniversary gala was announced, I jumped at the chance to paint this place of golden memories. I set up my easel on Main Street to paint a plein air study of Sleeping Beauty Castle, soon to be festooned with decorations, flags, and banners celebrating Disneyland’s 50th. I couldn’t resist painting my own family among the crowd.

If I could have any painting by anyone, it would be this one. I love Thomas Kinkade’s work and Disneyland is my favorite place. I was at the 50th anniversary. It was an amazing experience.
Me and my family took a picture in front of the castle that looks just like this! We were even there for their 50th Anniversary! It is an absolutely gorgeous painting!
I was there for the Grand Opening in 1955, with my parents and two older sisters.I was 6 yrs old and can still remember my Mother wearing a pink dress and matching high heels,my Dad dressed nice as well, and us girls in dresses. The excitement of seeing something so different, and amazing and so close to my home (we lived in Garden Grove,Ca was thrilling to a little girl. It still is one of my favorite places to go and one of my favorite memories. This would be a wonderful painting to add to the two that we have in our home.
This artwork is so amazing!
We were fortunate enough to purchase this painting at Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary and have Thomas Kincaid sign the back! Our family have many happy memories together at Disneyland and this painting is a reminder of those fun times together.
Love Thomas Kincaids artwork! He left this world too soon, but, his paintings will remind us of the beauty there is around us.
I graduated in 2005 and got to take a trip to California to celebrate. As I walked towards the castle I noticed an artist painting on Main Street. After about two seconds I realized who the artist was and became completely star struck. Being able to watch Thomas Kinkade paint is one of my absolute favorite memories. He was sensational! I even grabbed a random stranger and asked to use their phone so I could call my mother.

Hi Kate, I have a limited edition 28″ x 42″ version of this painting bought directly from this website. It is framed and in excellent condition and for sale if you are interested.
Hello Flor,
As a publisher, Thomas Kinkade Studios only sells and distributes new artwork. However, it may be of help to search for a Fine Art Auction Company in your area. These companies put paintings in their art auctions, and charge you a commission for selling. Another route you may wish to take is putting an ad in a local newspaper to sell your artwork privately. Or, you may wish to simply list it on eBay.
