Lamplight Village
Art Notes
I wanted to create a scene with a great sense of discovery to it, as though you could stroll over the stone bridge and wander around the village finding things of interest everywhere you look.

I have 3 Thomas Kinkade Paintings in great condition but what is it worth if anything? We have Lamplight Village , Emerald Isle Cottage, and Hometown Memories 1 walking to church on Sunday evening
Hello Audrey,
A quick way to check the value of your painting is start right here on our website. Use the search feature in the upper left hand corner and search for the title, size, and edition of your painting. If your painting is not on line, you can find a similar image in the same size and edition and that would be the value of your painting. Our prices are not image specific, they are based on size edition and frame.
If you need a formal appraisal for your insurance company, there are many factors that are part of an art appraisal especially when a painting is sold out, including edition, size, frame choice, condition, image availability, and the local art market. The best source for assistance in obtaining a third-party appraisal is a local appraisal firm in your area. Local appraising firms understand the secondary art market in your region and have the ability to give you the best estimate of value for your Thomas Kinkade Limited Edition Artwork.

What is the best way to clean a painting already mounted to a frame “lamp house village”? I adore this painting and if I recall it was purchased in a Thomas Kinkade gallery in Monrovia, CA. It’s mounted on a gold frame with black velour/velvet type of material and closed in the back with brown paper. I prefer not to tear the paper and the frame is held together by old staples. Measurements of the actual painting inside the black velvet trim is 8×10. I have looked online and there seems to be too many recipes for cleaning oil on canvas/paintings. Can someone assist?
Hello K,
You really don’t want to put anything on the canvas. If you must have the canvas cleaned, it is best to reach out to an art restoration/cleaning company in your area as that is what they do and they know how to care for the canvas pieces. Generally, we suggest to customers to clean with a dry cloth, with nothing on it at all. Many people will just dust the frame if that is dusty, again with a dry cloth or use something similar to a Swiffer Duster.

Hello Shirley,
We do not manufacture or sell the villages. We can not help you with a value or place to sell. Perhaps reaching out to Bradford Exchange, the company who makes the villages might help. They might be able to help you with a value. We suggest reaching out to a licensed art appraiser in your area for an appraisal. They might even be able to offer suggestions on how/where to sell you village. You could try listing it for sale on e-Bay.
