Pools of Serenity
Art Notes
It may be that all of us carry in our souls a memory of Eden, the glorious garden where we came to know our Creator. That could account for the attraction I’ve long felt for gardens—resplendent in riotous colors and tranquil in their shadowy private spaces. Nanette and I take advantage of the romance of gardens to enrich our love. We’ve sought out their sheltered nooks to meet and talk and dream and remember.

I just wanted you to know that my wife and I purchased a signed print of “Pools of Serenity”, the garden of prayer II on a Royal Caribbean cruise recently. Of all the pieces in the art sale, this was the one for me. I had it professionally framed and am now enjoying your work. I am a landscape designer by trade. I have always favored garden Impressionism. I am not an art collector but I have been to many art museums/shows over the years and I feel that you are one of the best. Thanks again for your great work.
Respectfully yours,
Terrin J Brysman
I have a gold-framed limited edition canvass of The Pools of Serenity, Garden of Prayer II collection. Purchased in 1999 and in perfect condition; never receiving direct sunlight. I would like to know what it is worth and the best way to seek a buyer.
Hello Dan,
We do not offer appraisal services here. A quick way to check the value of your painting is to start right here our website http://www.thomaskinkade.com and search for the title, size, and edition of your painting. If you do not find your exact piece, it might be sold out. You can then select another image (the prices are determined by size, edition and frame not the image) to get a general idea of value for your piece.
If you need a formal appraisal for your insurance company, there are many factors that are part of an art appraisal especially when a painting is sold out, including edition, size, frame choice, condition, image availability, and the local art market. The best source for assistance in obtaining a third-party appraisal is a local appraisal firm in your area. Local appraising firms understand the secondary art market in your region and have the ability to give you the best estimate of value for your Thomas Kinkade Limited Edition Artwork.
As a publisher, Thomas Kinkade Studios only sells and distributes new artwork. We encourage you to contact your local Thomas Kinkade Studios Gallery if you are interested in selling your Thomas Kinkade Studios Limited Edition Artwork. They may have a list of interested buyers in your area or maybe otherwise able to give you assistance or direction in selling your Thomas Kinkade Studios Limited Edition Artwork on the secondary market. Many people will list their artwork for sale on an online marketplace such as e-Bay or they will look for an art auction house to put their artwork through an upcoming auction.
