The Forest Chapel
Art Notes
What’s around the next bend? What lies at the end of the trail? When I walk an unfamiliar path, curiosity drives me on. The Forest Chapel portrays a daydream I’ve had many times: often while hiking some wooded trail I’ve come upon a spectacular flowering meadow and thought, “What a wonderful place to worship God”. The idea of a chapel in an unspoiled natural setting has intrigued me for years.

I have Forest Chapel in a Limited Edition on framed and touched up. # 69312950 The size is 24×30. How can I find out the value?
Hello Terri,
A quick way to check the value of your painting is start right here on our website. Use the search feature in the upper left hand corner and search for the title, size, and edition of your painting. If your painting is not on line, you can find a similar image in the same size and edition and that would be the value of your painting. Our prices are not image specific, they are based on size edition and frame.
If you need a formal appraisal for your insurance company, there are many factors that are part of an art appraisal especially when a painting is sold out, including edition, size, frame choice, condition, image availability, and the local art market. The best source for assistance in obtaining a third-party appraisal is a local appraisal firm in your area. Local appraising firms understand the secondary art market in your region and have the ability to give you the best estimate of value for your Thomas Kinkade Limited Edition Artwork.

I wish to buy a 30×24 print of forest chapel.
Please instruct.
Hello Arthur,
For this particular image, I do not see that we have a 30×24 available for sale. The largest size we currently have available is in our Canvas Classics collection and including the frame, the size of that piece is 13.5″x 15.5″. You might be able to find this piece closer to the size you are looking for at a Thomas Kinkade Gallery. You can check our gallery locator page to find the gallery nearest to you. If they don’t have it, you might be able to find it at an auction house or online marketplaces such as e-Bay.

If you are looking to sell your prints, you have options depending on what works the best for you. Many people will list them on online marketplaces such as e-Bay. Others will reach out to an art auction house in their area and see about putting them in an upcoming auction. Still others will reach out to local art galleries and see if they offer any suggestions for selling locally.
