Thistle Hill
Art Notes
This historic Texas home has a monumental dignity. When that direct Texas sun burnishes the brick of Thistle Hill, the structure rises up most impressively from the plain. I chose my spot, set up my easel and painted to my heart’s content.

Good morning,
I’m trying to get information on an original Thistle Hill print that I have. It is signed by Thomas and 5/500. I’m interested to know which media in 1997 had 500 copies. The certificate was not with the item and I don’t want to take the it out of the frame if I don’t have to. I have not been able to locate a site that gives that information so I thought I would go to the source. I thank you in advance for any information that can be provided.
Hello Mark,
Generally if the piece is framed under glass, it is a paper item. If it is framed with no glass, it is generally a canvas piece. Of course, it is always possible that it wasn’t framed by us or it has been reframed. Perhaps a local Thomas Kinkade Studios Gallery will also be able to help you with identifying what media it is on.
