Inspiration can be thought of as both profoundly spiritual and deeply human. The Guiding Light,first in my Lights of Inspiration series, speaks to the dual nature of inspiration. This brilliant sunset penetrates the swirling storms that sometimes afflict our soul, reminding us that the deep emotions of hope and faith are a truer reflection of our spiritual nature than any doubt or turmoil can be. This radiant light works in concert with the towering clouds to create a sunset that is among the most luminous and dramatic I have ever attempted to capture on canvas.

The Guiding Light introduces a new compositional format for me. The long, narrow canvas is perfect for those settings in the home that call for a panoramic vision. Surely, this dramatic panorama of light can carry the viewer's imagination to sweeping distant vistas.

Placed between 1/8″ shatter resistant Plexiglas and rigid foam core backing, at no time does any mounting adhesive comes in contact with your piece. The Artist Proof Canvas is issued in a small edition. Artist Proofs are individually hand-highlighted and are designated with the letters A/P during the numbering process.

AN

Hand-highlighted and numbered, each Atelier National canvas is designated with the letters A/N. Beginning in January 2003, the monumental size was designated as Atelier National.

EP

The Examination Proof is a special canvas edition offered as an opportunity for collectors to preview select new releases. The canvases are individually hand-highlighted, have the designation of E/P during the numbering process and have a small edition size.

GP

The Gallery Proof Canvas is individually hand-highlighted and can be distinguished by the unique gold foil Remarque stamped onto the image. Gallery Proofs are designated with letters G/P during the numbering process.

PP

The Publisher Proof Canvas is a very small edition available at the discretion of the Publisher. Hand-highlighted and numbered, they are designated PP during the numbering process.

RE

The Renaissance Edition is a special reserve edition created with a textured brushstroke process. A Master Highlighter enhances the image with additional highlights and a special Remarque is applied to the verso side of the canvas. Lastly, a foil-stamped silver Renaissance Edition seal is applied to the back of the canvas. Each Renaissance Edition is designed with the letters R/E during the numbering process.

SP

The Studio Proof is a special reserve edition created with a textured brushstroke process. A Master Highlighter enhances the image with additional highlights and then hand sketches an original and identifying Remarque on the verso side of the canvas. Lastly, a foil-stamped gold Studio Proof seal is applied to the back of the canvas. Each Studio Proof edition is designated with the letters S/P during the numbering process and a metallic authorized signature is applied to the front of the canvas.

EE

The Estate Edition is an extremely limited edition created with a textured process. It is then finished by a Master Highlighter with additional highlighting and a special hand sketched Remarque is applied to the verso side of the canvas. Each Estate Edition is designated by letter E/E during the numbering process.

JE

The Jewel Edition is an extremely limited edition, which includes hand applied "Jewel Dust" to strategic elements of the image. It is then finished by a Master Highlighter with additional highlighting and a special "Jewel Edition" silkscreen Remarque is applied to the verso side of the canvas. Each Jewel Edition is designated by letter J/E during the numbering process.
