About Editions

Thomas Kinkade artwork comes in a variety of editions. Descriptions of each edition are provided below.
SN: The Standard Numbered Canvas is individually hand-highlighted and numbered with the designation of S/N in the numbering process.
AP: The Artist Proof Canvas is issued in a small edition. Artist Proofs are individually hand-highlighted and are designated with the letters A/P during the numbering process.
EP: The Examination Proof is a special canvas edition offered as an opportunity for collectors to preview select new releases. The canvases are individually hand-highlighted, have the designation of E/P during the numbering process and have a small edition size.
GP: The Gallery Proof Canvas is individually hand-highlighted and can be distinguished by the unique gold foil Remarque stamped onto the image. Gallery Proofs are designated with letters G/P during the numbering process.
PP: The Publisher Proof Canvas is a very small edition available at the discretion of the Publisher. Hand-highlighted and numbered, they are designated PP during the numbering process.
EE: The Estate Edition is an extremely limited edition created with a textured process. It is then finished by a Master Highlighter with additional highlighting and a special hand sketched Remarque is applied to the verso side of the canvas. Each Estate Edition is designated by letter E/E during the numbering process.

There is no happier Christmas tradition than the selection of the family yuletide tree. Growing up, this was a much anticipated and special event for Thomas Kinkade and one that often resulted in a small lopsided pine being placed in his home's living room. But, regardless of their symmetry and height, there were no trees that were ever more loved than those the Kinkade family brought home after having chopped them down.

In Country Christmas Homecoming, we see a family returning from just such an endeavor but with a much larger result. A friendly snowman looks on smiling as a father and daughter drag their new-found holiday greenery toward their warm and glowing cottage. The mother is waiting with arms open and ready to help move the beautiful "7 footer" into place in the family’s front room. All anticipate a night of hanging ornaments and draping tinsel on what will be the centerpiece of all the winter holidays.

Thom was known as the unofficial artist of Christmas and this latest masterwork certainly speaks to that legacy in art.
