About Editions

Thomas Kinkade artwork comes in a variety of editions. Descriptions of each edition are provided below.
AP: The Artist Proof Canvas is issued in a small edition. Artist Proofs are individually hand-highlighted and are designated with the letters A/P during the numbering process.
EE: The Estate Edition is an extremely limited edition created with a textured process. It is then finished by a Master Highlighter with additional highlighting and a special hand sketched Remarque is applied to the verso side of the canvas. Each Estate Edition is designated by letter E/E during the numbering process.
EP: The Examination Proof is a special canvas edition offered as an opportunity for collectors to preview select new releases. The canvases are individually hand-highlighted, have the designation of E/P during the numbering process and have a small edition size.
GP: The Gallery Proof Canvas is individually hand-highlighted and can be distinguished by the unique gold foil Remarque stamped onto the image. Gallery Proofs are designated with letters G/P during the numbering process.
PP: The Publisher Proof Canvas is a very small edition available at the discretion of the Publisher. Hand-highlighted and numbered, they are designated PP during the numbering process.
SN: The Standard Numbered Canvas is individually hand-highlighted and numbered with the designation of S/N in the numbering process.

About

There are few if any works of literature or animation that better capture the innocence and wisdom of the child and the child's perspective on life than the A. A. Milne classic "Winnie the Pooh". There were few if any books or films that influenced Thom as a young boy more than these stories detailing the adventures of Christopher Robin and his delightful menagerie of friends as they all adventured in the Hundred Acre Wood. In 1966 when Disney Studios began releasing their featurettes chronicling these wondrous tales, Thom could not have been more excited. His childhood fancies were coming to life. It is in honor of that time in his life we at the Thomas Kinkade Studios proudly introduce scenes from this magical story of love, faith, friendship and adventure. It is in these paintings we hope our collectors reflect on and always remember these undeniable truths from Pooh himself, such as "nobody can be uncheered with a balloon" or "when you see someone putting on his Big Boots, you can be pretty sure that an adventure is going to happen."
